Spandeck Precast Wall Systems

What is a Spandeck Wall?

Spandeck is a hollow flat slab wall panel. It is machine manufactured in standard 8-foot widths. The panel thickness is either 8" or 12", depending on whether the panel is insulated or not.

Finishes

In addition to the smooth form finishes, Spandeck offers three economical decorative finishes: random rib, uniform rib, and standard rake. These qualify as an architectural feature in most industrial / commercial business parks.

Economy by Design

Certain economic variables are inherent in a machine-manufactured product, and when utilized, can keep project costs to a minimum.

  1. Choose a standard finish.
  2. Keep horizontal accents to a minimum.
  3. Keep roof truss spans down to around 50 feet in the bay adjacent to walls. This will keep loads within the design strength of our "standard" connection hardware.
  4. Minimize openings.
  5. Maintain 4 foot and 8 foot panels modules throughout.
  6. Eagle Precast's expert engineering staff can provide design suggestions which will economize a project, so seek their involvement early in the design stage.

Insulated Panels

These panels can be insulated, providing an R-value ranging from R5 - R16. The insulation is sandwiched between two layers of concrete, which offering a durable surface both inside and outside of the wall.

Speed of Completion

Panels can be manufactured as the footings and groundwork are being accomplished at the jobsite. Thus once this work is completed, our erection crews can be on the job erecting panels. This can substantially cut construction time, thus saving money and providing earlier occupancy. These panels can also be manufactured during the winter-time, eliminating most weather delays.
